Finding the Perfect Wedding Bouquet

I am one to admit that pretty things make me weak at the knees, especially when it's my own original design. One thing you will find out while you are starting the hunt for your wedding vendors is that floral is going to be a big part of your wedding budget.

Here are some tips to save money on wedding day floral.

1. Spend money on your bouquet, but DIY the rest.

Don't get me wrong, I want to be able to have all the things and then some. But sometimes you just have cut where you can and making a statement with your personal floral bouquet is one where you shouldn't. This is the one day you get to have for you and your lovey, so take my advice and spend the heftier part of your floral budget on your personal bridal bouquet. Couple reasons why:

One, you are the star of the show, so make this a statement piece when you walk down the aisle. A show stopper if you will.

Two, you are going to be pretty much with that beastie for the majority of the day so LOVE it! Plus you can use it as your centerpiece on your headtable. Our friend over at Julie's Flowers of Geist loves to design highly detailed bouquets! She tells us all about it over on the Weddings on Budget Podcast.

2. Rent it all.

That's right, you didn't misread this. You can now rent all of your wedding day florals. One of my favorite floral rental companies to work with is SomethingBorrowedBlooms. They are ultra modern, super "green," and always have you in mind for your wedding day. SBB just launched their latest line, Laurel, and let's just say WOW! There are some other great online rental options out there too, so be sure to do your homework and check them out! Affordable, "green", and you know exactly what you will get before the wedding day!

3. DIY everything!

I think there is a misrepresentation of DIY these days because of the "pinterest fails" and shows on Netflix like "Nailed It," but I will be honest with you, if you follow the instructions it's pretty easy and it's super affordable. My friends over at Bloom Culture have it all laid out for you too! They have tons of DIY tutorials of how to make bouquets, runners, hanging installations, and so much more! Seriously, you have to go check them out, you won't regret it. One of my favorite tutorials is the bridal bouquet, here check it out. You'll be able to create an amazing floral decoration and stay on budget by utilizing Bloom Culture!!
